Ambatovy also has ancillary industrial units located near the plant site. These include:
•
Port,
includes the expansion of Pier B and a new fuel terminal that was completed in 2010.
•
Ammonia Storage & Handling,
a facility where imported ammonia is stored and transported to the plant site.
•
Railway and Road,
includes 12 km of railway line and an 11 km road between the Port of Toamasina and the plant site.
•
Tailings management facility (TMF),
consists of a long-term construction project where tailings from the plant site are
received.
