Ambatovy’s values and operating practices are based on good governance – which is to say transparency, sustainability, and responsible operating practices. Ambatovy strives to demonstrate the value of good governance by making all its decisions in a transparent fashion that nurtures public trust and engagement.
Protecting the interests of employees, local communities, shareholders, and lenders is foremost in our decision-making. Ambatovy is committed to upholding fundamental human rights and respecting cultures, customs, and values in our interactions with all those affected by the Joint Venture’s activities.
Ambatovy voluntarily discloses far more than is required by law. This is done to deepen the public’s trust and to make it possible for stakeholders to understand our activities more accurately and thoroughly.
Ambatovy also supports the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Madagascar and takes part in collaborative meetings and transparency sensibilization campaigns together with other mining companies, civil society, and the Government.
